MoVelocity wins state health award News Review
ROSEBURG: The MoVelocity Team, comprised of Kelly Leonard, Janet Judd and Jan Taylor, has won the
Oregon Public Health Institute’s Public Health Genius Award for 2007.
The award comes packaged with a $500 check, to be shared with a health-related charity or public
health community organization.
MoVelocity was loosely organized last year charged with the simple mission of motivating people to get
out and move.
Walk, run, skate, swim, wheelchair, horseback ride, bicycle, luge, hang-glide, surf — no matter the
mode of transportation or exercise choice, MoVelocity is for it, so long as people expend bodily energy
to get from one place to another.
